What To Expect
The Heart of This Practice

I believe everyone deserves to feel seen, supported, and understood, even when life has left them feeling hopeless or overwhelmed. My goal is to create a space where individuals who have experienced trauma or who struggle with finding ways to cope can find safety. Those who have dysfunctional family dynamics and have chosen the path of no-contact can find understanding and acceptance as they navigate toward healing and peace. Those who have religious trauma and/or are questioning their faith can find space to ask the questions they've been afraid to ask.
My mission is to walk alongside those who feel stuck, helpless, or lost, supporting them as they process difficult experiences, develop manageable and realistic coping skills, and (re)discover what it means to have hope.

Is this you?
You value emotional safety, honesty, autonomy, and meaningful connection. You’re not looking for quick fixes or surface-level coping—you want healing that actually reaches the root of what’s been weighing on you. You may be tired of just surviving and ready to feel calmer, clearer, and more grounded in your life.
Many of the people I work with are living with the effects of:
Anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or survival-mode patterns
Childhood experiences or difficult relationships that still show up today
Family estrangement, complicated grief, or unhealthy family dynamics
Religious or spiritual experiences that created fear, shame, or confusion
You may be navigating a life transition—such as career changes, relationship shifts, or questions about identity or faith—while also feeling torn between wanting peace and feeling guilty for prioritizing yourself.

Often, clients come to therapy after trying:
Talk therapy that didn’t go deep enough
Self-help tools that helped temporarily but didn’t last
Pushing through, numbing out, or staying busy to cope
Maintaining harmful relationships—or cutting them off without support
What healing can begin to look like:
Feeling more grounded and less reactive
Understanding your patterns instead of feeling controlled by them
Releasing what your body has been holding onto
Feeling steadier in boundaries and decisions
Building a life that feels peaceful, stable, and aligned
It’s normal to feel hesitant—wondering if your experiences are “bad enough,” worrying about going too deep, or feeling discouraged after past therapy experiences. You don’t need to have everything figured out to begin.
I work best with people who want depth over quick fixes and are open to trauma-informed care that goes beyond talk therapy alone. Approaches like Brainspotting allow us to work with the nervous system, helping create change that feels lasting and integrated.
If this resonates, you don’t have to do this alone.
We can talk about what feels stuck, what you want to change, and whether working together feels like the right next step.
A brief consultation can help you decide.
What healing can begin to look like:
-
Feeling more grounded and less reactive
-
Understanding your patterns instead of feeling controlled by them
-
Releasing what your body has been holding onto
-
Feeling steadier in boundaries and decisions
-
Building a life that feels peaceful, stable, and aligned

When You've Tried Everything And Still Feel 'Stuck'
Feeling stuck in the same patterns no matter how hard you try? Still carrying pain from trauma, anxiety, or family dysfunction that talk therapy hasn’t fully touched?”
I offer trauma-focused therapy and Brainspotting to help you process what’s been keeping you stuck—so you can feel calmer, clearer, and more in control of your life.

Frequently Asked Questions
What types of therapy do you offer?
I provide counseling using a blend of approaches, including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), SFBT (Solution-Focused Brief Therapy), and Brainspotting as well as Christian-Informed Counseling. Sessions are tailored to each client’s goals, needs, and comfort level.
Who do you work with?
I work primarily with older adolescents (18+) and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, faith challenges, or family estrangement. Sessions are individualized, collaborative, and paced according to what feels safe and effective for you.
At this time, I can only work with clients who live in Arkansas, South Carolina, Florida, Idaho, and soon New Jersey!
How long is a typical session?
Most standard therapy sessions are 53-60 minutes, which aligns with typical insurance coverage. This varies, so it’s important to check with your insurance plan if you choose to go that route.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, I'm in network with many major insurance providers but it depends on your residing state. If your plan is accepted, I will send a link for you to book with me directly. For clients using other plans (HSA & FSA) or self-pay, I provide transparent fee information.
Can I do virtual/telehealth sessions?
Yes. I offer secure telehealth sessions for clients in states where I am licensed/permitted. These sessions follow the same structure as in-person therapy and are fully confidential.
What should I expect in my first session?
Your first session is an opportunity to share your concerns, discuss goals, and learn about the therapy process. Together, we’ll explore what you hope to achieve and how sessions can best support your growth.
How do I know if therapy is working?
Therapy is an active process. Progress looks different for everyone and can include breakthroughs, setbacks, or moments of self-discovery. You get the most benefit when you engage fully and apply the skills and insights outside of sessions.
What is your cancellation and no-show policy?
I maintain a late cancellation and no-show policy. Because session times are held specifically for each client, cancellations or rescheduling requests require at least 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations may be charged up to half of the session fee, and missed appointments may be charged the full session fee.
