Brainspotting is a way of working with what your body and nervous system are holding onto. It helps access and process experiences that feel stuck, overwhelming, or hard to fully work through with talk alone.
Through this approach, we slow things down and allow your brain and body to process at their own pace, which can support releasing what’s been stored and creating more space for relief and change.
It’s an optional approach I offer for clients who want to go deeper with processing. If you’re interested, we can talk more about it in a consultation or at your first session.
Your first session is where we sit down and start getting a sense of what’s going on and how I can support you. It’s less about having everything figured out and more about starting the work together.
We’ll talk through what feels most important, and I’ll ask questions along the way to better understand your experiences and what’s been coming up for you. We’ll go at a pace that makes sense, so nothing feels rushed or forced.
From there, we’ll start to figure out what makes the most sense to focus on.
One-on-one therapy focused on understanding what’s actually going on beneath the surface and why certain patterns keep showing up. We take things at a pace that allows you to really see what’s there and begin to shift it in a way that lasts.
Sessions are typically held weekly, with the option for bi-weekly or monthly check-ins depending on your needs and the pace that works best for you.
This work focuses on helping you work through the impact of past experiences in a way that goes beyond just understanding them. The goal is to process what’s been held onto so it doesn’t continue showing up in the same way or feel as intense as it has in the past.
Brainspotting is one way to support that process. It helps you access and work through what’s stored beneath the surface, without needing to rely only on talking it through. For many people, it allows things to shift in a way that feels deeper and more complete.
This work helps you understand what’s driving your internal reactions and what tends to keep them going. We look at what’s happening in the background so you can start responding in ways that feel more steady and less overwhelming.
If your faith is something you want included, it can be part of the work in a way that feels natural to you. This is always optional and guided by your comfort and preference.
